Name of Product :
Energy Mask : Detoxifying Black Mask by Kiko Make Up Milano. 1.86 fl oz.
Claims to cleanse skin from pollution and impurities. Ideal for all skin types.
Unique Ingredient :
Kaolin : this is a soft clay named after the Gāolǐng hill in China and it is well known for the mineral, kaolinite. It has detoxifying properties as it can draw out impurities from pores. It can also absorb extra oil and sebum on the skin which prevents acne and breakouts. With it’s mild effect to irritated skin, it can soothe sensitive skin. Not only that, this silica-based clay does not overly dry out the skin and actually nourishes the skin with it’s trace mineral content.
- Easy to apply
- Good consistency
- No scent
- No irritation or tingling

- Can make a mess when washing off – see review below
- No instructions or ingredient list on tube
My Review :
4/5 stars- loses a star for poor packaging but overall good quality product with good results.
Packaging – simple hygienic tube design but many languages on the back without any instruction on how to use or how long to leave it on. The instructions and ingredient list was printed on the box that the tube was in, however, I moved countries two times and don’t have the box – who keeps their masks in the original box that it came in? I think this is a really poor design and could’ve been better executed.
The product : Black gel like thin consistency – was a little messy to apply as it is quite fluid in nature. I applied with a brush for easier application. No scent or irritation or tingling.
I kept it on for 15 minutes. I found it was easier to wash off while showering otherwise if you do it over the sink then the water turns black and will splash on your mirror/walls causing more cleanup than you were hoping for!
After removal : skin felt very smooth and very clean. It did feel a little dry so I applied toner and the rest of my skin care routine.
Next day result : My skin still felt smooth and clean. I felt that some of my bigger acne/whiteheads became more pronounced but this is likely a good thing that the skin is being deep cleansed to heal!
Where I purchased it? Cost?
Bought from Kiko Cosmetics online for 5.90 euro when I lived in Ireland. Sadly, it appears that they no longer sell this mask.
