Product tested by Yashoda.
NOTE : on further review, this mask has been discontinued and replaced by the Sake White Peel off Mask. I have not tried the new version but from watching videos on it, it seems that they improved the formula and made it easier to peel off.
Name of Product :
Bright White Peel-Off Mask by Boscia. 2.8 oz.
Claims to help even skin tone, minimize appearance of dark spots, smoothes texture and delivers soothing hydration.
Unique Ingredients :
Titanium Dioxide : this mineral has been used for many purposes from a sunscreen ingredient, to colouring agent, whitener and even a thickening agent. It has a high refractive index which means it provides a BRIGHT reflection and that is why it is frequently used in whitening products. If you read about it, there are articles talking about it’s harm however, it is listed as a safe pigment, with no known adverse effects when used in cosmetics, and approved by the FDA when 99% pure.
- Hygienic packaging
- Amazing effects to skin – bright, smooth, soft
- Irritation to skin when removing
- No peel off action at all
- Hard to rinse off
My Review :
⅗ stars due to amazing effects but sadly no “peel-off” function.
The packaging : Simple, clean, hygienic. Easy to squeeze product out.
Product : Toothpaste like consistency. Thick but easy to apply however, VERY hard to peel off.
Says leave for 20 mins or until completely dry – if not completely dry, you won’t be able to “peel” off.
It peeled in very small strips – was taking forever to remove and I was unable to peel it off well.
It honestly started to hurt and feel uncomfortable peeling/rubbing it off. My skin was starting to get irritated and turn red below the areas where the mask was peeled/rubbed off.
Forehead area was unable to come off – eventually gave up and washed face thoroughly with warm water to remove.
After removal : After skin felt very dry and tight – needed lotion asap. Effect was really amazing though – definitely smoother and BRIGHTER!
Following day : Effects lasted, skin felt very soft, smooth and bright!
Reading other reviews online – people found the same problem with the peel-off as I did. Most people ended up washing it off with warm water. Others said they had to apply a very very thick layer in order to actually get it to peel.
Where I purchased it? Cost?
Bought it at Sephora for ~ $38 CAD. Product discontinued by Boscia, however, you can buy this product online through websites such as Amazon.
