My Review :

⅕ terrible for darker complexions – do not purchase. Honestly wish I could return it and get my money back!

I bought this product at the Etude House store in Hong Kong. Initially bought it because of its ease of use and sunscreen protection. Plus these cushions are currently all the rage in Asia so I thought it was worth a try. The sales associate applied the product onto my inner wrist and it seemed to match quite well. However, when trying it out properly on my face – the product colour is terrible and has a horrible white cast that does not blend into skin. I look like a ghost, in fact, it might be good idea for a Halloween costume!

The packaging : Simple, cushion is separated from the product by a plastic covering. Product itself gets protection from air by the covering. Comes with a mirror in the case which is handy when applying. While I don’t carry makeup in my purse to re-apply, I think this product would be good for on the go re-application.

Product : Colour Honey Beige with SPF 50+ PA+++. Applies well with the cushion. Thin consistency product, similar to normal foundation. Not sticky, no fragrance. Provides a light to medium coverage to the skin. Applying more of the product does not improve the coverage.

After application, my face looked so white and terrible.

I kept it on for 30 minutes to see if it would change or blend into skin better but there was no difference at all. Applying powder also did not change the strong white cast.

I actually did not want to continue wearing it so I removed it using a skin wipe so that you can see the distinct difference between normal skin tone and this product. On the wipe, the product looks like the right colour and not white at all, but for some reason, when applied to the skin it looks completely different.

I am convinced that this product must be only for white/Asian skinned people and not for those who are tanned/brown/dark complexions.

Left : Without product. Right : With product.

Where I purchased it? Cost?

From Etude House in Hong Kong and costs $10.40 USD online.
