Product tested by Yashoda.

Name of Product :

Nail Mask by Bling Pop. Made in Korea.

Unique Ingredient :

Butyrospermum Parkii (Shea Butter) : this comes from the fat extracted from the nut of the African Shea Tree. It helps to retain moisture and reduce water loss by forming a strong barrier on the surface of the skin. It also acts to condition and to reduce the appearance of rough patches and dry flakes.

Pros :

  • Cute and colourful packaging of the nail bottle
  • Easy to tear open
  • Easy to apply masks
  • No irritating or tingling
  • Shea butter smell
  • Good results
  • Great price

 Cons :

  • Needs better instructions regarding applying masks as there are different sizes and they are meant to be detached from one another prior to application
  • Needs to be a better way to make sure fingers do not slip out of masks – I had to keep readjusting
  • Does have a scent which may bother some people
  • Recommended time is 30 minutes but this may be too long as my fingers were starting to get ‘pruney’

 My Review :

4.7/5 stars – loses a few points for lack of better instructions.

Packaging : Very cute, colourful packaging. I like how it is the shape of a nail polish bottle. Easy to tear open. Has very simple instructions on the back which after use, I think the instruction is too basic. For example, the masks have a longer tab on one side but I did not know if the longer tab side was supposed to be on the nail side or the finger pulp part. Also it did not mention that there was different sizes of nail mask for each finger – for example, the thumb mask was larger in size than the pinky but I did not notice it at first and applied the masks then realized and had to take them off and re-do it. It also did not mention that the masks can be torn apart as it comes all attached.

Product : Product itself was simple. Had a sweet smell typical of Shea Butter but I only smelled it briefly while applying and after removal but only if I smelled the nails. The texture feels like a thin gel and is enough to cover nail, cuticles and the skin after my knuckles. It also stayed on quite well but I kept pushing my fingers right to the edge of the masks. I was still able to access my phone as the touch feature worked through the mask. No irritation or tingling.

I kept this on for 30 minutes.

After removal : I massaged the remaining fluid into my nails and skin. I did notice my finger pulps were getting slightly pruney- so I do not recommend using it for longer than the instructed time. My nails, skin and cuticles looked nourished and soft!
