If you want to know more…
This high-tech gel resurfaces dull skin, lifting dead skin cells away by gently dissolving the glue that holds them to the surface. The results are greater clarity and a smoother, more even-looking complexion. Formulated with a dream-team AHA/BHA blend including glycolic, lactic, tartaric, citric, and salicylic acids, and blended with raspberry extract, T.L.C. Framboos™ sinks in easily and delivers an effective level of chemical exfoliation without the harsh side effects like dryness or sensitization. Fine lines, wrinkles, and discoloration, along with excess oiliness and the appearance of pores, will appear dramatically diminished. Horse chestnut, bearberry, and white tea help to calm and soothe while improving the appearance of broken capillaries.

What else you need to know:
AHA’s can be sensitizing if not formulated properly. This product has added soothing plant extracts and formulated T.L.C. Framboos at the ideal pH level of 3.8, which Drunk Elephant believes is the key to an effective formulation.
Drunk Elephant only uses clean ingredients that either directly benefit the skin’s health or support the integrity and effectiveness of our formulations. They never take into account an ingredient’s synthetic or natural status, but instead choose based on its safety and bio-compatibility. You won’t find silicones, chemical sunscreens, sensitizing dyes, perfumes, or fragrant essential oils of any kind in any of their products, making them appropriate for every skin type. This is Drunk Elephant’s commitment to you.
Unique Ingredients :
From DE’s website :
12% T.L.C. Framboos™ AHA blend: (glycolic, (T) tartaric, (L) lactic, and (C) citric acids) exfoliates built-up dead skin cells, resurfacing dull, uneven skin for a smoother, brighter, more even-looking complexion.
1% salicylic acid: loosens sebum to unclog pores while helping to soothe redness.
Raspberry Fruit Extract: rehydrates and soothes damaged skin, has antioxidant properties.
Cactus Extract: helps to soothe skin while using AHAs.
Horse Chestnut: helps improve the appearance of broken capillaries and redness.
Galactoarabinan: (polysaccharide extracted from larch trees) that acts as a gentle exfoliant and minimizes the appearance of fine lines while helping to inhibit moisture loss.
Phytostem Buddleja Davidii Meristem Cell Culture: plant-derived, cultured stem cells with potent antioxidant properties that help defend against photodamage and oxidative stress.
Virgin Marula Oil: super-absorbable oil, high in critical antioxidants and omegas 6 and 9, helps nourish and rejuvenate skin.
White Tea Leaf Extract: potent antioxidant that provides soothing benefits.
Sodium Hyaluronate Crosspolymer: has a smaller molecular weight than hyaluronic acid and is able to deeply penetrate skin, delivering intense hydration, reducing the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, while promoting firmness.
Yeast Extract: brightens and reduces the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, helping to minimize skin stress and soothe redness.
My Review :
3/5 stars due to lack of WOW results and high price.
Packaging : I really liked the packaging. It is classic to their brand. The only thing I didn’t like is that I can’t see the contents. After I finish a product – I like to open it or cut it into two so I can get every last bit – couldn’t exactly do it with this one. It comes with a pump that comes up when you twist the lid which I liked. It was in a hygienic container. Also has enough information as well as instruction on the container. I liked the colour choice as well.
Product : I use 3 pumps to cover my entire face and neck. The product lasted me about 3 months of continuous use. The product itself is a clear gel. There is no scent or added fragrance. It applies smoothly and gets absorbed into the skin quite fast. It can layers well with other skincare products. Drunk Elephant states to layer it with their Virgin Marula oil – I layered it with my own facial oil blend and it worked fine as well. There can be tingling initially but that subsides quickly. I started off by using this every other day for a week and then nightly going forth. I made sure not to use this if exfoliating that day and also not to use it with products containing retinol. I also applied sunscreen if being exposed to sunlight, even in Winter!
Results : I honestly did not see that much of a difference to my skin with using this product. I felt like if I was to see the smoother, more radiant skin – I will need something with a higher AHA/BHA concentration. I was suggested to use this by a few associates working at Sephora who recommended it for acne-prone skin. But I think this is too gentle and was not strong enough to go to war against my blemishes. My container finished about a week ago and my skin remains the same even without it in my routine. The price is high and although there is a lot of great ingredients in this product, I just wasn’t impressed with the actual results. I will not be repurchasing.
Where I purchased it? Cost?
I purchased this at Sephora. The 1oz/30ml container costs $112 CAD and the 1.69oz/50ml costs $164 CAD.
