This luxuriously lightweight formula conditions and replenishes dry, damaged hair without weighing it down. Activated charcoal removes product buildup without stripping or drying out hair, coriander seals and smooths the hair cuticle to boost shine, and macadamia nut oil provides lightweight hydration while detangling and reducing frizz.

Unique Ingredient :

Activated Charcoal : for your hair and scalp, it helps by purifying – removing dirt and toxins. It also is great for use in hair products as it doesn’t leave any residue – so your hair and scalp are cleaner. When there is less residue, your hair is lighter and will have more volume. It can also be used to treat your scalp and may help reduce dandruff, redness, oiliness and itchiness.

My Review :

5/5 stars! Loved both products and a little goes a long way.

Packaging : I really liked the packaging. The bottles are plastic but it has a nice lid in which the product is expelled easily. There is enough instruction on the bottles.

Product : Mint scent to both products- this is an artificial fragrance as there is no mint on the ingredient list. I also find it a bit odd that fragrance is listed so high up on their ingredient list – even before the charcoal powder! Per their website, it is a “Noir scent with notes of ginger, mint and sandalwood”.

Shampoo – a little bit lathers quite a lot. I used about a quarter size and that was too much. Instructions say a “dollop” which is misleading. Lathers very well and quickly. Black colour fluid. Hair gets matted after rinsing off and feels very tangled if you try to run your hands through after rinsing.

Conditioner – I used about a dollar size this time. Felt lightweight as advertised. I kept it on for about 2 minutes. Rinsed off well. Hair felt soft and clean. The matted effect was gone.

Results : After towel-drying, hair looked shiny and felt very clean. Scalp looked really clean too. Hair had very few tangles, combed through easily. Hair feels extremely soft and less frizzy. DryBar recommends using this duo once or twice a week.

Where I purchased it? Cost?

I purchased both Shampoo and Conditioner at Sephora. They retail for $30.00 CAD each.
