Product tested by Yashoda and Arlini.

Name of Product :

Charcoal Black Sugar Facial Scrub Mask by Live Green. 1.2g/0.42oz. Made in China.

Unique Ingredient:

Acer Saccharum (Sugar Maple) Extract :this is a species of Maple native to the hardwood forests of northeastern North America. It is what Maple Syrup is made from. The extract works as a natural alpha hydroxy acid, helping to slough off dead skin cells and to improve skin texture.

Pros :

  • Compact packaging, easy to tear open and travel with
  • No irritation or tingling
  • Good results – skin felt smooth and clearer

Cons :

  • Sweet scent which may bother some people
  • Syrupy thin consistency – drips onto floor and is messy

My Review :

3.5/5 stars. Loses points because it’s too runny in consistency and the scrub effect was lost after keeping it on before washing.

Packaging : Nice compact packet, easy to travel with, good instructions and easy to tear open.IMG_7246

Product : Dark grey syrupy like fluid. Can feel the sugar granules. Had a sweet scent (maple extract). No irritation or tingling. It did run down my face though and drip onto the floor which was a bit annoying – would’ve preferred something thicker since you’re supposed to leave it on for 10 minutes before washing. No irritation or tingling.

I kept this on for 10 minutes then washed it off. The sugar granules weren’t as prominent when rinsing off so not sure how much of the product actually scrubbed my skin.

After removal : Skin felt cleaner, clearer and smooth.

Following day : Skin remained smooth.
