If you want to know more…
Set the tone for healthier-looking skin. Fresh Rose Floral Toner is a soothing toner that works to clarify the complexion for a dewy look. The cooling, alcohol-free blend is blooming with aromatic rosewater—revered since antiquity for its calming and hydrating benefits. Plus, its mist applicator makes it ideal for setting makeup and refreshing the skin throughout the day.
Fresh claims that this is a “An alcohol-free, soothing toner proven to significantly moisturize the skin for 24 hours.”
Unique Ingredient :
Rosa Damascena Flower Water : this plant is native to North Africa and is quite small with only 30 petals per flower! The distillate has soothing, hydrating, toning, calming, astringent, anti-inflammatory and anti-wrinkle effects. There are two ways of making rose water – one is mixing the oil with distilled water and the other is a steam-distillation of fresh rose petals (this is more authentic and yields a purer water). I am not sure which method Fresh uses in this product.
My Review :
Packaging : Hard plastic translucent bottle. It comes packaged with a white screw on top and the spray nozzle is separate. Unfortunately there is no cap that covers the spray nozzle so it is unrealistic for travel unless you want to carry the nozzle in a separate plastic bag. It does spray well though – with quite some force. It has a good product description and and directions on the back.
Product : Clear watery consistency. Very mild scent of roses – not very noticeable in fact. Spray is cooling and refreshing. Hydration lasts only a few minutes. Product absorbs into skin easily and layers well with other products. If you spray it throughout the day, it does not disrupt your makeup. No irritation, tingling or redness noted.
I am not impressed with this product. It costs $49.00CAD for the bottle but it’s not worth it especially for that price – there are way better rose water toners out there and where the main ingredient is Rose Water (not the 4th like this one). It does not contain alcohol but is also not organic. Does it hydrate? Yes but not for 24 hours as Fresh claims. Does it refresh my skin? Yes. Does it smell like fragrant roses? Not really. It’s more of a cold water with a touch of rose. Did it soothe or tone? I did not notice any change in my skin tone and after a few minutes of use, my skin felt like how it felt before use. No soothing qualities – only cooling. I did find it refreshing to spray on my face as the day went along but that was about the extent of my use. I will not be repurchasing.
